Things to see:
The Archipelago of La Maddalena. The day at La Maddalena flies fast, you go all the way on the scenic road and choose one or two beaches where you can spend the morning, visit to Caprera and the Garibaldi museum, tour of the village of La Maddalena with fish dinner or return to Palau for the evening market in the summer.
A tip: the two islands (Maddalena and Caprera) are wonderful to visit with their own car, but during the time of full house (August) it is better to discover them with a boat trip – with small boats max 10 people, not the boats – to observe the most beautiful coves and ravines and to discover the islands accessible only by sea (Spargi, Budelli, etc.). It is expensive but it is absolutely worth it.

Santa Teresa Gallura is located in the most northern tip of Sardinia just in front of the Strait of Bonifacio and Corsica (connected by ferry with several daily trips).
BY PLANE
Olbia: The nearest airport to Santa Teresa Gallura, about 65 km away, is the Olbia-Costa Smeralda airport.
From Olbia, simply follow the signs for Costa Smeralda / Palau / Santa Teresa
Alghero: Alghero / Fertilia airport is about 140 km away. The easiest road is the one along the directions to Sassari first and then towards Castelsardo / Badesi. After the village of Badesi continue following the signs for Santa Teresa Gallura.
Both airports provide scheduled connections to Santa Teresa Gallura as well as several car rental companies.
